Final: Media Pitch

Subject: Cache County association helps local citizens during the current economic crisis

Dear Kim Burgess:

Just wanted you to know that Cache County has an association, where the membership is free, that helps members gain valuable financial knowledge and confidence to deal with the current economic troubles.

How often do you receive something for free, and end up walking away with something truly valuable? For me, this rarely happens.

The Cache Valley Area Investors Association(CVAIA) is a non-profit association that is dedicated to providing the citizens of Cache County with the knowledge and support they need to not only survive these economic struggles, but to gain more passive income in the process.

The CVAIA meets ever Thursday evening at the Cache Chamber of Commerce building, and is free to the public.

Preston Parker is the president and founder of the association, and there are currently 50 members.

Are you available Wednesday, Oct. 13 between 12 P.M. and 2 P.M. at talk to our President for a brief teleconference?

Please let me know which time will work for you.

Thanks,

Final Press Release #1

Press Release

ABC Real Estate LLC
123 Creative Way
Logan, UT 84341
President Preston Parker
435-752-2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sept. 11, 2008

ABC REAL ESTATE OPENS IN CACHE COUNTY
Searching for Investors

LOGAN, UT – ABC Real Estate is using a creative way to help buyers and sellers, and they are looking for investors.

ABC Real Estate is introducing a new system to better help the real estate market in Utah, and it’s the first of its kind.

President of ABC Real Estate Preston Parker said, “the real estate market hasn’t been this bad since the great depression, and our new creative system will help buyers and sellers during this time of need.”

During the month of September, new regulations passed by congress will require home buyers to have a down payment of at least three percent, a good credit score, and a low debt to income ratio, before they can be approved for a mortgage. This may come as bad news to some, but ABC Real Estate has the solution.

ABC Real Estate's system is a benefit for all sides of the real estate transaction. Their creative system is an equity holding land trust system, that expert Bill Gatten teaches on www.landtrust.net.

The reason why the equity holding land trust system is guaranteed to work for you, is because it allows real estate transactions to happen, while taking care of each side of the transaction. The system has four sides, and each are beneficiaries.

If you have been thinking about investing in real estate, but haven't done so yet, now is the perfect time. Our proven to work system is not just a benefit to the economy, but a benefit for you.

ABC Real Estate is composed of five employees, and is Preston Parker's third start up company. ABC Real Estate opened up its first branch in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mr. Riley D. Leishman
169 W. 800 S.
Preston, ID 83263

Dear Mr. Leishman:

I have recently started my Junior year of college at Utah State University.  I'm pursuing a Public Relations degree in the Department of Journalism and Communications.

When we spoke last, you asked me to write you a letter explaining what public relations is.  In response to your question, here is some basic information.

One of my Professors told me this quote in his Introduction to Public Relations class, and I found it very helpful with understanding what public relations is.
"If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying Circus coming to the fairgrounds Saturday, that's advertising.  If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk him through town, that's promotion.  If the elephant walks through the mayor's flower bed, that's publicity.  Now, if you can get the mayor to laugh about it, that's public relations."

In my book Public Relations and the Writer, it defines public relations as the art and science of analyzing trends, predicting their consequences, counseling organization leaders, and implementing planned programs of action.

My Professor Troy Oldham, said that public relations dates back to the days of Plato, and speech writers would craft words for leaders to persuade the public or the government one way or the other.

I have really enjoyed my public relation classes.  I look forward to finishing up my degree, and applying my knowledge in the work force.

I appreciate your support.  Please let me know if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Matthew D. Leishman, Utah State University
Student

JCOM 2310 Intro

This is my first Blog submission, so I will start out by introducing myself. My name is Matthew Leishman. I go by Matt or Matty sometimes. It really doesn't matter to me. I'm 22 years old, and I'm a Junior at Utah State University in the Department of Journalism and Communications. I'm currently taking 16 credits, and doing an internship with the USU Athletic Department.

I will end this Blog by adding my favorite quote.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at time of challenge and controversy."
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
